Inductosyn Interface

The VEGA Inductosyn to Digital converters were specifically designed to interface with Farrand, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, and G&L Inductosyn scales with out having to rewire you application. The VEGA Inductosyn converter excites the slider with sine and cosine excitations and uses the phase shifted pre-amplified return to generate the A-Quad-B encoder signals. This means you can use the existing wires and pre-amps rather than completely rewiring the interface. If you prefer, you can use the VEGA model 2789500 (2789503 for 10 kHz applications) pre-amp for new or replacement applications.

High Speed Tracking

The tracking rate is a function of the excitation frequency and quadrature counts. With a 2.5 kHz excitation and 4000 quadrature counts the tracking rate would be 9,600 Inductosyn cycles per minute With a 10.0 kHz excitation and 4000 quadrature counts the tracking rate would be 38,400 Inductosyn cycles per minute. Reducing the counts will increase the tracking rate proportionately.
